Role: Art Director – Brand Redesign & Visual Identity
Location: Flexible / Remote EU based, some travel required for workshops, meetings

We are looking for someone who combines strategic brand thinking with exceptional visual craft and creative leadership.
Required Experience
- 6–10+ years of experience in art direction, brand design, or creative leadership roles.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating:
- Visual identity systems
- Brand redesign work
- Campaign art direction
- Digital-first brand experiences
- Experience working within leading creative agencies, in-house brand teams, or both.
- Proven experience directing visual storytelling across multiple channels and formats.
Skills & Capabilities
- Strong understanding of brand development and visual identity systems.
- Exceptional typography, layout, and visual composition skills.
- Experience briefing, directing, and reviewing creative work.
- Ability to translate strategic concepts into scalable creative outputs.
- Strong collaboration skills across copy, strategy, marketing, and product teams.
- Familiarity with motion, web, social, and multimedia creative formats.
- Experience overseeing photography direction, illustration styles, shoots, and moodboarding.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
- High attention to detail and commitment to creative excellence.
Preferred
- Experience working on large-scale rebrands or transformation initiatives.
- Experience within tech, marketplace, consumer, lifestyle, or digital product companies.
- Experience building scalable visual systems across multiple markets or brands.

Overview
We are looking for an experienced and highly conceptual Art Director to lead the visual direction and creative execution of a major brand redesign initiative. This role will play a critical part in shaping and evolving the company’s visual identity in partnership with an external branding agency, ensuring the new brand system is translated into compelling, scalable, and high-quality creative across all touchpoints.
The ideal candidate combines strong conceptual thinking with hands-on creative leadership and has experience leading visual identity systems for modern digital brands. They should bring a sharp eye for craft, a strong understanding of brand storytelling, and the ability to guide multidisciplinary creative work from concept through execution.
This role blends strategic creative direction with executional oversight, stakeholder management, and team mentorship.
Key Responsibilities
Visual Identity Leadership
- Partner closely with the external branding agency to define and evolve the company’s visual identity system.
- Establish and refine the brand’s visual vocabulary, including:
- Logotype
- Color systems
- Typography guidelines
- Iconography
- Illustration direction
- Photography style
- Motion and graphic principles
- Ensure consistency and scalability of the identity across all digital and physical touchpoints.
- Translate strategic brand positioning into a distinctive and modern visual language.
Campaign & Content Direction
- Lead visual concept development for integrated marketing campaigns and brand storytelling initiatives.
- Brainstorm and direct creative concepts across digital, social, product marketing, editorial, and brand communications.
- Ensure all campaign and content outputs remain aligned with the evolving brand identity.
- Define visual storytelling approaches, moodboards, art direction references, and creative frameworks.
Creative & Asset Production
- Collaborate with internal design team on the creation of brand assets across:
- Web and digital experiences
- Social media templates
- Presentation systems
- Marketing collateral
- Motion and multimedia assets
- Print materials
- Collaborate with copywriters, marketers, strategists, and product/design teams to deliver cohesive creative work.
Stakeholder Management
- Present creative work confidently to leadership and stakeholders.
- Manage feedback loops effectively while protecting creative integrity.
- Balance creative excellence with business objectives, timelines, and operational realities.
