REQUIREMENTS

We are looking for a visionary design leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, balances strategic and hands-on work, and inspires teams to do the best work of their careers.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 10+ years of experience in product design, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing design teams at scale
  • A strong portfolio showcasing design excellence, systems thinking, and user-centered problem-solving across web and mobile platforms

Knowledge & Experience:

  • Proven experience in scaling and leading design teams in a tech-driven product environment, ideally in fintech or digital services
  • Expertise in driving end-to-end product design from research to implementation
  • Deep understanding of design systems, accessibility standards, responsive design, and current trends in UI/UX
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to balance user needs with technical constraints and business goals
  • Familiarity with agile environments and product development cycles

Skills:

  • Excellent leadership and communication skills; able to inspire, influence, and align stakeholders at all levels
  • Exceptional visual and interaction design skills, with a critical eye for detail
  • Strong organizational and planning abilities; capable of managing multiple priorities and large-scale initiatives
  • Empathy, humility, and a user-first mindset
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity with resilience, pragmatism, and a solutions-oriented approach
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

Your Responsibilities

As Director of Product Design, you will be a pivotal leader in shaping and advancing our product experiences across all platforms. You will drive the strategic vision for design, promote design excellence, and help empower teams to create user-centered solutions that align with our vision for accessible and barrier-free savings and investments.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Design Leadership: Set a clear design vision aligned with company goals, championing consistency, quality, and a user-first mindset across the entire product ecosystem.
  • Team Management: Recruit, develop, and mentor a high-performing product design team. Offer guidance and career development to designers at all levels.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with product and engineering teams to ensure cohesive and compelling user experiences. Play a key role in strategic planning and execution.
  • Design Strategy & Process: Define scalable design processes and systems that foster efficiency, creativity, and accountability. Continuously improve how design is delivered and measured.
  • Quality & Consistency: Ensure all visual and interaction designs are clear, functional, beautiful, and aligned with brand guidelines. Uphold the highest standards of design craft across all outputs.
  • User Advocacy: Champion the voice of the user through research, data, and empathy. Ensure solutions are inclusive, accessible, and impactful.
  • Resilience & Adaptability: Lead with confidence through periods of change and ambiguity, navigating complexity with a calm and pragmatic approach.
