- 7–10 years in software or infrastructure engineering, including 3+ years managing engineers directly - Hands-on depth with Terraform, multi-account cloud environments, and container or serverless compute, run in production at scale - Experience running infrastructure as an internal platform other teams depend on daily, with the incident and change management discipline that requires - A track record of hiring and developing engineers, with concrete examples of people you've levelled or promoted - Solid observability experience at scale - Clear, confident communication with a technical, cross-team audience - Comfort with AI-assisted development tools, and the same rigor reviewing AI-generated code as any other
