(Senior) HR Generalist / People & Culture Manager (f/m/d)

We’re helping an exciting Plant based startup grow their team, and they’re looking for a hands-on (Senior) HR Generalist / People & Culture Manager.
If you´re not into HR tasks such as baking contracts or handling payroll, we can imagine getting a Working Student for those tasks while you arefocusing on People & Culture + Talent Acquisition.
• Proven experience as an HR Generalist or similar role—especially around HR ops and payroll.
• Someone with a friendly vibe, empathic & trustworthy.
• Solid knowledge of German labor law and payroll processes.
• fluent German (C1-C2) and strong communication skills—you can explain complex topics clearly and with a human touch.
• A proactive, organized way of working paired with a strategic mindset, you can zoom out to see the big picture.
• Someone excited to be part of a dynamic, growing startup environment (not a corporate hierarchy)
• Own HR operations: contracts, HRIS, payroll coordination (with an external partner), and all the admin bits that keep things running smoothly.
• Level-up onboarding/offboarding so every team member feels welcome from day one and leaves on a positive note.
• Partner with leadership on culture, engagement, and employee surveys, then drive meaningful changes.
• Lead end-to-end recruiting for selected roles: from active sourcing and interviews to offers.
• Influence HR from the ground up in a purpose-driven, fast-growing startup.
• Flat hierarchies, quick decisions, and room to test your ideas.
