Senior Product Designer
Startup
Our client is one of Europe's fastest-growing B2B SaaS platforms in the fleet management / mobility space — a profitable scale-up serving tens of thousands of corporate customers across Germany, France, Spain, Switzerland, Poland and beyond. Following a recent strategic acquisition in France, they are expanding aggressively into one of Europe's largest fleet markets.
This is a foundational "Founding Designer" role based in Aix-en-Provence. The French product teams currently operate in a waterfall, sales-led setup with zero dedicated product designers. The hire will introduce modern product-led thinking, establish design processes from scratch, and progressively align the French product suite with the group's global design standards.
- 5–10 years of product design experience, significant focus on B2B SaaS
- Strong grasp of user-centered B2B design — translating complex requirements into simple, elegant experiences
- Proven ability to build design practices from scratch in ambiguous, low-structure environments
- At least 6–12 months of dedicated qualitative user research (interviews, synthesis, validation)
- Empathy and resilience to guide legacy engineering teams through an agile/product-led transition
- Portfolio showcasing meaningful product design work with clear process and measurable outcomes
- French C1+ and English C1+ — mandatory
Nice to have:
- Experience in connected mobility or fleet management software
- Familiarity with product-led growth (PLG) strategies
- PE-backed scale-up experience
- Design systems knowledge
- End-to-end design — partner with Product Owners, a Freelance PM, and Engineering to lead the full design loop from problem framing to delivery
- Design maturity — establish foundational practices, workflows, and tools for teams new to agile and product trios
- Qualitative user research — own discovery end-to-end: interviews with French B2B users, insight synthesis, feature validation
- Strategic product evolution — drive the long-term vision for the French product suite while maintaining the current product
- Change management — act as a local change agent, transitioning cross-functional teams from a feature-factory to a product-led approach
- Global alignment — serve as the bridge to the group's global design org via bi-weekly syncs
- Autonomy and real ownership — "Make It Happen" is a core value
- Competitive compensation
- Hybrid work setup — offices in Aix-en-Provence and Paris, remote-friendly culture
- Meal vouchers
- Comprehensive health insurance (employee + family)
- Employee benefits platform
- Investment in personal growth and career development
- 30+ nationalities, English as working language, truly international environment
