Senior Product Manager (AI / E-Commerce)
Corporation
An established, vertically integrated e-commerce business serving millions of customers. Rare in its space, it runs the entire chain in-house — from the online platform through to production and delivery — so product decisions turn into real orders within days rather than quarters.
The company is now rebuilding its core platform with AI at the centre. With its own data, high order volumes and plenty of room to experiment, the aim is to redesign whole systems, not to polish individual features.
- At least 6 years in product management, gained in more than one high-calibre product organisation — you arrive with your own standards and methods
- Strong business sense: you can trace how a change in a product metric flows through to revenue or margin, and you know the operational KPIs underneath
- Technically hands-on: you query data in SQL yourself, try out APIs on your own and are comfortable reading engineering metrics such as latency or error rates; you debate trade-offs with engineers as an equal
- AI is part of how you personally work every day — building prototypes, running analyses, creating small tools or automating your own workflows (more than having once shipped an AI feature)
- High ownership, energy and curiosity
Bonus points for:
- Background in e-commerce, marketplaces, creator platforms, merchandising or supply chain systems
- Having taken LLM, search/retrieval, recommendation or computer vision systems into production
- Leading large initiatives with real customer or revenue impact in complex organisations
You'll take full ownership of one of three areas that are being rebuilt from the ground up:
- Search & discovery — help shoppers find what they want by meaning and visual style instead of exact keywords, and reimagine how browsing works when someone starts with a vague idea.
- Fulfilment operations — shape a new, AI-first system that forecasts stock, decides how orders are routed and resolves the exceptions people still handle by hand today.
- Seller tooling — give the businesses selling on the platform a single place to manage their catalogue, storefront, orders and performance, with AI taking over much of the routine admin.
Across any of the three, you will:
- Set the strategy and roadmap and be accountable for the business result (e.g. conversion, throughput, margin or retention)
- Lead a cross-functional group of engineers, designers and analysts through influence and clear thinking rather than hierarchy
- Pick up problems as soon as you see them, without waiting to be asked
Note: this is a genuine product management role with ownership of the "why" and "what" — not a backlog-administration job.
- 30 days of paid holiday
- Hybrid setup in Berlin, or remote from anywhere in Germany
- Real autonomy and visible impact on the business
- Close collaboration with experienced founders and senior leadership
- Open, transparent culture with regular all-hands and the chance to see operations up close
- Staff discounts, a modern office and regular team events
